This can be true if you're going to take out the whole of the kitchen units, shelving, the lot. If you've just moved house, this can be one financial cost that you really don't need. If you like the layout of your kitchen, but are less than impressed by the cupboard doors and drawer fronts, why not just install new ones? By keeping the original units, you will be making a massive saving on the cost of a new kitchen. Generally, you'll hardly ever have to replace units, unless one is damaged and you don't see the wear and tear on them, as they are hidden by the doors. Also, don't forget to make arrangements for cooking your meals, for however long you think it will take for you to fit your kitchen. Hopefully, you won't have any units or doors that are the wrong size, otherwise you may have to wait before you can fit those too.
