And with regards to the market, it's really subjective. You might get an edgy kitchen design you love, but then the new buyer rips it out because it's not 'generic' enough. So it's all relative.

A new kitchen can add value, but not like it used to. The market's changed so much over the years. The value of a house isn't just based on a kitchen, it's other things like where the house is, and the actual property itself"
